As a small, grassroots charity, PalestineConnect is heavily dependent upon donations from individuals.

Since Israel’s 3-week military incursion over the 2008-2009 new year period, we have found it particularly difficult to raise adequate funds. This is in large part due to the fact that as so much damage was done during that period (to children, civilians and core infrastructure), many donors – individual and institutional - have understandably diverted funds to charities that are helping to rebuild hospitals and schools.

Such priorities are clearly essential for restoring basic infrastructure. But the community services PalestineConnect provides for thousands of children every year are no less vital in ensuring a basic standard of life for Palestine’s most disadvantaged. These services represent an integral part of the day-to-day struggle to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the most vulnerable parts of society, and simply cannot be put on hold.

PalestineConnect is committed to providing unparalleled levels of value for donor contributions, while nonetheless delivering the highest quality services. All operations in the UK are conducted by a team of dedicated volunteers and, we have no UK office overheads.

Please consider consider making a contribution today.

PalestineConnect currently operate three community-led centres in the Gaza Strip and employ eight local Palestinians - all of them qualified educators.

Around 3,000 children and young adults benefit from these centres annually.

Despite this, as a small, grassroots charity we rely heavily on small donations from individual members of the public.
